DIY Boot Tray
I’m calling this the year for organization. Why? Well, I personally think it’s a lifestyle that one either has/does or doesn’t do. Yet, more and more stores are catching on to housing an organization and storage section and today some stores are specifically just for that purpose. Some of us are very leery to start the purge and organization process because we are afraid, we may have to spend a lot of money to purchase the things and tools we need to become better organized. I can assure you that you can begin slowly and inexpensively by doing a few DIY projects and using things you already have or by heading to a local dollar store for a few things. First and foremost, I want what I do and share to always be affordable. While there are some very great storage solutions out there that not only serve a useful purpose and look stunning, I do not think you need to go drop a ton of money to start the habit of becoming more organized.
Now for the DIY BOOT TRAY … As the weather has been everything from extreme cold, ice and snow to mild and lots of rain here. I saw a need for a boot tray to dry our boots/shoes when coming inside. The tray I used was a serving tray that spent most of its summer outside. I headed to the @DollarTree and found 4 bags of their black little stones. I also purchased a woven rubber like placemat to use as a buffer between the tray and stones. That’s it. Once, you tackle small inexpensive projects like this you can gain confidence and branch out.
